This is a screenshot showing the editing of the html for the poster in Wonderland. On the left is the image that I dragged and dropped into Wonderland, which I was then able to incorporate into my poster.
The original poster was too wide, so I was forced to edit the html text again in order to include a break within the title of the article.
The final poster states the article title: "The Influence of Virtual Presence: Effects on Experienced Cognitive Load and Learning Outcomes in Educational Computer Games." The poster also shows a picture of Angry Birds characters with the text "Learning & Teaching Angry Birds." I chose this picture because it humorously conveyed the pairing between the usage of video games and education that the article debates. There is also a working link to the article at the bottom of the poster indicated by: "Link to Article."
Dragging in the first three-dimensional object and editing it.
The two supporting 3-D objects I put into my poster were an arcade game and a bookcase, which again illustrates the combination of videogames and education that is discussed in the article.
I also inserted a third image of a school house.
I incorporated the poster and other objects around the schoolhouse in order to give the entire project a more three-dimensional feel.
This was a project building a digital library in a learning platform called Wonderland. It is a final exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. The course is called Discovering Computer Graphics. For details, visit the immersive BC portal at http://ImmersiveEducation.org/@/bc
