Midterm #7

This is a picture of the actor Morgan freeman with his eyes covered by a second image. I used Photoshop to resize the second image to the correct proportional size, and then used the lasso tool to highlight and trim the image into a circular shape. I then copied and pasted the image, forming a second layer, onto the original picture of Morgan Freeman. I used the rectangle tool and paint bucket tool to highlight the bottom portion of the photo, and used the text tool to put in the writing. It is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. Midterm #4

This is a greeting card from Rocket World. I first had my avatar sit down in Rocketworld, where I then took a screenshot of him facing me.  I opened the screenshot in Photoshop, using the crop tool to cut away the majority of the screen, and then used the text tool to write my greeting. I then saved the file in a .jpeg format as opposed to .psd. It is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. Class 6 Exercise 2

This is my attempt at a silver dollar. I used Vector Graphics to design the silver dollar, using the shape and text tools to design it. I struggled with the alignment of the letters, as well as drawing the face (which is why I went with the smiley face.)

Midterm #10

This is a screenshot of a picture of a house drawn using Microsoft Word. It was made using a combination of Word's shape tools, drawing tools, and picture tools. With each image I changed the color, using either pattern, texture, image, or simply color itself, and I also adjusted the transparency when necessary. It is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. Midterm #9

This is a screenshot of a course diagram drawing created in word. Using Word's drawing tool, I created this course diagram using the shapes tool to create both the shapes and arrows, putting in the text into each shape, and then using the Autoshape tool to change the color and transparency. Midterm #6

This is an image of an animated Gif. Using Gimp, I opened a text circle and inserted my name into the text. I then added four layers of text circles, using the rotate tool and increasing it by 45 degrees each time. I anchored each layer, and saved the image as an animation under Gif. Midterm #5

This is the image in a JPEG format.

This is the image in an interlaced PNG format.

These are two images in two different formats. The first is the image in JPEG, the second is the image in PNG. They were saved this way using Photoshop's ability to save in multiple formats. The purpose of the assignment is to notice the difference in loading speeds between the two images. It is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College.
