This is an image that has been saved three times in three different formats. The first image is saved in a JPEG format, the second in a GIF format, and the third has been saved in a PNG format. All three were originally saved as ".tif" images, and were edited using Gimp. It is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. Midterm #2

This is a picture of a cat that I modified to add a caption at the bottom. Using Gimp, I used the rectangular select tool to highlight a rectangular area at the bottom of the photograph. I then hit "Edit" and chose to "Fill with BG (background) Color." Using the text tool I added a caption to the bottom, using blue in order to best contrast with the other colors in the picture. It is a midterm exercise from the Immersive Education course that I am taking at Boston College. The course is called Discovering Computer Graphics. Midterm #1

This is a modified picture of a child that originally had "red eye" in the picture. Using Gimp, I used the eyedropper tool to copy the color around the red portion of the eye. I then used the paintbrush tool to place that color (which as a light brown) over the red part of each eye in order to fix the photographic phenomenon. Class 2 Assignment 4

The  Rocket World EMMS tutorial video was hugely helpful in showing how to use the different aspects of Rocket World. Overall, the video essentially showed that the functionality is essentially the same as World of Warcraft or another one of those types of games taking place in an interactive virtual world. The differences in colors between the dots on the minimap, dependent upon whether they are your friends are not, was something that I am sure would have taken me a long time to figure out without the tutorial. The ability to teleport your friends to your location in the virtual world is also something I am not sure I would have ever figured out.
